The African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICC – www.ayicc.net), with financial support from the Youth Division of the African Union (www.africa-youth.org) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA –http://www.unfpa.org/public), calls for applications for the selection of two young women aged between 18 to 30 on 30th June 2012, for their participation in the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio +20), to be held from 20 to 22 June 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The two selected young women must be from Francophone Africa and North Africa only. They will receive funding covering only their return tickets to Rio de Janeiro for the period from June 7th to 23rd June. Visa fees, lodging, local transportation, food and other costs related to their stay in Rio, will be their own responsibility. Applicants must be citizens of their countries of origin and must be living there when applying. The deadline for applications is this Wednesday, March 9th at 10:00am GMT.
